Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has experienced a difficult year, achieving just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in especial - caused him falling of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with former mentor Cervara.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is his initial championship after the Rome competition and first on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one various events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, comprising in Halle in the past months.
His defensive strategy and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had led observers to doubt if his skill to compete at the highest level was finished.
But the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, supported by an better serve.
The champion came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players exchanged break points in the second set before the challenger, striving for his maiden tour title, gained dominance to create a decider.
Moutet rescued 4 initial opportunities in a tight final set before the champion secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he secured the win with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
